CONSULTANT BIO:
ANNE D. RIZZO


Anne’s background spans more than twenty years with a unique blend of experiences as a Human Resources Generalist, Regional Administration Manager and Executive Search Consultant for the telecommunications and consulting industries. Her diverse business experience allows her to provide results-oriented recruiting strategies for her clients.

Anne spent several years as a Human Resources Generalist and Administration Manager in the telecommunications industry. As part of the management team with US Telecom and US Sprint, Anne was involved in the building and management of the sales and administration functions during high-growth periods for both organizations. She joined McGladrey and Pullen, CPAs, as a Consultant in 1988, and was later promoted to Consulting Manager. During her years at McGladrey, Anne was responsible for providing recruiting services and managing search projects within the Human Resources Consulting Group.

Her search experience supported small to mid-size organizations which included the functional areas of marketing and sales, customer service and administration, finance, general operations and manufacturing management; her focus was on positions ranging from first line managers through senior leadership positions.

In recent years Anne has teamed up as a Search Consultant with CO2 Partners, LLC, and Franchot and Associates. Anne’s expertise is managing the whole search process; from the research and sourcing stage to the candidate development, and final offer negotiations. She has experience with a variety of development and administrative functions, senior fundraising and senior financial management.

Anne is a graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in Sociology and is currently working towards her Master’s in Liberal Arts/Psychology from the University of Saint Thomas. She has been active volunteering over the years with Birthright, People Serving People, TC Habitat for Humanity, Sharing and Caring Hands Program at STA along with a variety of Executive Board positions with Saint Thomas Academy Mother’s Club, Kinderland, Saint John the Evangelist and other organizations in support of human services and education in the local community.

Anne is also a member of the Minnesota Chapter for the Council of Non-Profits and the Minnesota Chapter, Association of Fundraising Professionals, National Committee on Planned Giving, Minnesota Planned Giving Council, and American Marketing Association.


CONSULTANT BIO:
KIMBERLY ALLEN SNYDER


Kim Snyder has 15 years of fundraising experience within the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota philanthropic communities.  Over her career, Kim has worked in development operations of all sizes and at various stages of maturity.  In each setting, she has exceeded annual fundraising goals and successfully added to the organization’s overall fundraising capacity.  From 2003 – 2007, Kim was the Vice President of Children’s Foundation, the fundraising arm of Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota.  In this position, Kim was the chief fundraising strategist and operations officer, and was responsible for leading the Foundation to its most successful year of fundraising on record.  

Prior to Children’s, she was the director of development for the Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs and at Ridgewater College in Willmar and Hutchinson, Minnesota.  In both institutions, she built and ran development programs centered on major gifts fundraising and long-term donor stewardship.  Additionally, she served as a major gift officer at the Carlson School of Management and led system-wide grant writing initiatives for the Minnesota Community College System and subsequent Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System.  

As a result, Kim has proven expertise in all aspects of fundraising, including corporate, foundation and governmental grants, annual fund, major and planned giving, capital campaign development and execution, cause-related marketing and corporate sponsorship, board and volunteer engagement, and donor stewardship.   

Kim was educated at the University of Minnesota, graduating in 1992 with a BA in history, and again in 1995 with a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the Humphrey Institute with emphases in non-profit management and education policy.  

Presently, Kim serves on the Financial Capacity Committee of the Charities Review Council and as a mentor at the Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs.  In addition, she has been an active volunteer throughout her career serving on the boards or advisory committees for: MN Adoption Resource Network, People Incorporated, the Minnetonka Public Schools Foundation, and the Willmar Area Community Foundation.  

Kim founded the Excelsior Bay Group, LLC in 2007 to help non-profit organizations assess and build their long-term fundraising capacity.
