Major Gift Coaching Circles

Many nonprofits have, at most, one paid staff member assigned to manage and implement their fundraising programs.  When the decision is made to add a major gifts program to the list of responsibilities for this individual, many find themselves overwhelmed and lacking the expertise and confidence to succeed in this new assignment.

The Coaching Circles are intended to provide low-cost consulting expertise and coaching services to new and established development professionals seeking to become more effective major gift fundraisers.

MAJOR GIFTS 1 ($1,250 participation fee)

This circle is for nonprofit staff and/or volunteers who are just beginning to build a major gifts program for their organization.  Participants will work through a simple, hands-on curriculum designed to help them accomplish the following:
Develop an effective case for philanthropic support; Clarify fundraising priorities
Assess return on investment for the organization’s primary fundraising strategies in order to increase resources allocated to major gift efforts
Develop major gift portfolios and appropriate program parameters for sustained success
Advance key philanthropic relationships and making successful major gift solicitations

MAJOR GIFTS 2 ($1,250 participation fee)

This circle is intended for those with some level of major gift experience, who may already have a portfolio of identified prospects and are seeking to become more confident, effective major gift fundraisers.  As a result of full participation in the coaching circle, it is anticipated that each participant will accomplish the following:
Develop personalized strategies for the cultivation and successful solicitation of all categories / levels of major gift prospects
Gain experience and confidence in his/her ability to develop philanthropic knowledge and move beyond mere friendship with prospective donors
Build a base of colleagues to support continued development as an effective major gift solicitor and help sustain ongoing major gift success

Sessions are offered throughout the year. For more information, or to register for a coaching circle, please contact:
